I'm glad that you can spend £100 and not worry about it. So yes, the cost is a real issue, a minor one but an issue nonetheless.īesides, I prefer the two meals I could have with my wife than spend that money on apps that I don't use that often (PS, not LR). I have to check my account when I take my wife out and have ever bought a new camera once. I live a happy frugal life within my modest income.

I don't waste much food, turn the lights off when not required, don't have a gym subscription (I prefer the one outside anyway - and it's free (bar travel costs)), don't have a travel card, don't do foreign holidays (due to cost). Yes, I can afford it but the little money I have needs to be maximised. Like many others, the budget that I can spend on photography is limited to the degree that deciding to spend £100 over the course of a year, over the course of a number of years IS an issue.
